What we do
Monthly, the NETC Kiwanis Club actively participates in various fundraising and service projects. Here are some prominent initiatives:

Meals from the Heart
One of our favorite projects. Ronald McDonald House Fort Worth allows us to cook lunch or dinner for their families 3 times a year. The kitchen is the heart of the RMD House, and our volunteers are the heart of their Meals program. Providing meals is a way for families to rest and recharge to help them push through their days and stay strong for their children. Our club organizes and brings food to cook for up to 60 people staying at the Ronald McDonald house while their children get needed medical attention at Cook Children's hospital.

Easter Eggs
We help the city of North Richland Hills every year ready for their Easter Egg hunts. One of our easier projects, but a fun opportunity to sit and chat with other members while we do a little good. The city employees definitely appreciate the help that they don't have to fill all 10k eggs they normally give away and it brings a little joy to the kids that attend the free egg hunt events.
Butterfly Festival
Annually NETC Kiwanis Club raises funds and provides an interactive educational activity with our Butterfly Festival:
- Set up/ Tear down: We set up a tent under the pavilion at Southlake town square and need help with tent set up, moving plants in general set up.
- Butterfly wranglers: Helping kids get butterflies on our provided watermelon sticks. Helping them get the perfect picture on their nose or hair. Educate about life cycle and butterflies.
- Tickets and silent auction: Volunteers help with ticket entry and our silent auction.
The annual Butterfly Festival presented by our club provides 2 days of learning, fun, and community bonding. It's more than just an event; as we release the butterflies at the end to help maintain their populations. It also helps us raise funds to help support Kiwanis Children's Charities, youth training and CMN. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event.
